These bases were developed at the request of a terracotta amphora manufacturer who needed to replace the traditional wooden pallet, typically used to support the vessels, with a more durable and rigid structure.

The issue encountered was that, since these vessels are intended for use in wine cellars—environments historically characterized by high humidity—the wooden pallets would begin to deteriorate after a short time.

We therefore designed and produced these bases to allow the secure placement of the various types of vessels manufactured by our client, to enable the installation and fastening of electrical equipment (pumps and valves) connected to the vessels, and to ensure that the entire system (base + vessel) could be handled using a pallet truck.

We continue to produce various units which, through our client’s distribution network, are exported to multiple countries.
